Halo (Halo #1) by Alexandra Adornetto

Halo by Alexandra Adornetto

Five/five stars !

Where do I start?! Halo, you are beautiful. Alexandra Adornetto I love you. I love you, I love you!
Halo is about three angels who are sent from Heaven on a mission to prevent crime. Bethany, Ivy and Gabriel are sent to Venus Cove for their mission. It is here on the towns pier that Bethany meets the gorgeous, hot, popular and totally off-limits boy, Xavier. Swooooooon!

Bethany has to attend the local high school, Bryce Hamilton. She meets wild girl Molly, who is quick to give Bethany a nickname. Bethany was then on known as Beth at school.

School is tough when teachers like to turn off the likes to use projectors. As an Angel, Beth has beautiful skin, with a fair glow in the dark. Beth excuses herself to go to the bathroom. When she is walking back to her classroom, she runs into the boy she met at the pier, Xavier. He remembers her and starts talking to her. Beth remembers Molly’s advice about staying away from Xavier, no girl is good enough for him after Emily, and what happened with Emily (Read and find out!).

After their encounter Beth cannot stop thinking about Xavier. As an Angel, a celestial being, Bethany cannot be caught up in some silly American teenage relationship. Xavier refuses to give up and asks Beth on a date.
After their date, the relationship between Xavier and Beth becomes serious. No, not physically (!). Beth thinks this is love. She has felt the emotion before as an Angel, but the emotion wasn’t her own. Now she is feeling it. After Emily, Xavier thought he would never have a feeling like this again. He thought he would never find someone like Emily again, until he meets Beth.

Knowing the consequences and how dangerous it will be, Beth decides to tell Xavier everything about her life; her real life, her angel life.

Xavier is in on their world now. His life is at danger, knowing about this and just being in a relationship with Beth.

Beth and Xavier begin a crazy journey together, involving a failed prom, a dickhead demon, good vs evil battle and a potential break-up. They prove to the Angel community and to Bethany’s brother, Gabe, and sister, Ivy, that they are inseparable and totally and completely in love.

I loved this book. The unfolding love story, the battles, Xavier and Bethany’s relationship and Xavier in general. I went crazy when I found out there was a sequel… that wasn’t coming out until August! When I found the sequel I almost cried in the middle of the shop!
Hades, the second book in the series, was almost as wonderful as Halo, but not as beautiful.
I cannot wait until the third and final book, Heaven comes out.
