Evermore by Alyson Noël

Two/five stars
Okay then. I don’t even know.
Evermore is probably one of the worst books I have ever read. I do not know why I read it, as I have seen the terrible reviews, but I did. Oh well, we all make mistakes.
So, where to begin with this train wreck!? Well, let us begin with Ever. Ever was horrible, HORRIBLE. She was moody and stupid and inconsiderate and she annoyed the shit out of me. I really, really disliked her. A lot.
Ever is an outcast. Ever since she lost her family in a car accident, she is left with a physic ability; she can see people’s past by touching them, read minds and read auras! Yay for Ever. Except, not really. The entire book she whines about her bloody powers and how horrible they are and how her life would be so much better without them. Whatever.
Now, where would a paranormal YA romance book be without a dreamy dickhead boy? Enter Damen Auguste. One of the biggest dickheads I have ever had to read about. I did not understand what Ever saw in Damen, or what Damen saw in Ever. But, now I understand. They are both as annoying as each other.
This book – no sorry, train wreck, reminded me of the Twilight series, Hush Hush and Fallen. Evermore was just a mix of the three. This “train wreck” was messy. I was so confused in parts and it just jumped from on bit to the next. The writing was not unlike that of a 5 year old. And Ever’s mannerisms were almost annoying and stupid as her!
I did not understand the Immortal part of the book. In Die for Me, the immortal (Revenant) part is explained. At first it is confusing, but there is a purpose behind the immortalism, yeah I know I made up that word.
I really hate giving bad book reviews, so I tried to like this book, but it just didn’t grab me. Sure, I finished it, but that was because I was in a car for 3 ½ hours.
I did not like this book. I have not yet decided if I will read the second book, Blue Moon (Sounds a lot like New Moon, huh).
